Internships

Sirius Campaigns is looking for a few good students interested in learning more about the democratic process.  Interns with our firm will gain valuable experience working with one or multiple political candidates, elected officials, political action groups and voters.  The opportunities for the 2019 are thus far focused in Ohio, although this could expand.
 
The hours are flexible but students should be able to commit 15-20 hours per week.  Our clients expect the best of the best which is why this opportunity is limited to 5 interns per cycle.  All majors accepted, however those with a background in communications, marketing, or business, will have an advantage.
 
Although most positions are unpaid, we offer the student an opportunity to gain hands on experience with political professionals.  Upon completion of the internship, a letter of recommendation to a university for credit or to a future employer will be provided.

YOUR ROLE AS AN INTERN

Interns will have the opportunity to work in a variety of projects throughout the internship.  An intern may request to focus the internship in a particular area  if he or she exhibit a talent for it.

Field Work

Interns will have the opportunity to help with field organization and GOTV activities.

Advertising

Branding our candidates is an important part of the job.  The intern will assist in getting our message out by helping to create written ads.

Issue Briefings

Keeping a candidate informed is an essential part of our job.  Interns will be assigned a policy issue area to keep our candidate(s) updated on and will provide briefings as needed.

Event Organization

Interns will participate with the event coordination and advance work.
